"Recently, we had the priviledge to celebrate together the opening of the Teen Challenge Living Free Women’s rehabilitation program.  The fundraising efforts to date of MEC Adelaide have gone towards the setup costs of this new program.

We would like to commend the staff of MEC Adelaide for their ongoing support."

Graham Ross, Director Teen Challenge South Australia

Teen Challenge

MEC Adelaide first became associated with Teen Challenge through their Power of One Day back in 2009.  This has led to a continuing partnership over the last few years with MEC Adelaide being involved in various fundraising events to support the work of Teen Challenge.

Teen Challenge are a non for profit , community organisation, whose primary aim is to help young people with life controlling issues.

MEC Adelaide being a major media buying company in SA did not want the typical corporate relationship with a charity where they simply just handed over a cheque and felt warm about themselves but rather preferred to have an ongoing relationship with Teen Challenge.

For the past two years (since the first Power of One Day) MEC Adelaide have been raising money by holding Sausage Sizzles, Movie Nights, Garage Sales, Bingo Nights & Bottle Drives.   Power of One Day this year was a Sausage Sizzle at Bunnings as well as a free BBQ at the launch of the new Teen Challenge 'Living Free Rehab Centre'.

Total money raised year to date is $15,000.
