Led by Lee-Anne Bishop, MECi is fully integrated into the MEC Adelaide business, occupying a pivitol role within the agency. The team are passionate about digital and with over 16 years combined experience they understand the space and leverage their expertise to ensure the best digital solutions for clients.
This includes planning and buying of online and mobile display media across all formats stretching beyond standard display banners to sponsorship, content development, custom integrations with publishers, and various forms of behavioural, geographic, demographic and contextual targeting.
Our dedicated search team, based in Sydney, offers expertise in paid search, search engine optimisation and social search. At MEC we focus on an intelligent approach to search, thinking about it’s application in the context of all other media activity.
In Game advertising is an exciting way for brands and business to connect with consumers. Appearing in this space is ideal for awareness campaigns and can give advertisers increased relevancy; but brands must consider their fit – it’s best used by advertisers whom are contextually relevant.
There has undeniably been an explosion in social media, globally, with three of the world’s most popular online brands being social media related (Facebook, YouTube, Wikipedia). (Nielsen, Australian online consumer report 2010-11, Feb 2011)
Our social Services include content development and syndication, community activation and influencer outreach, community development and social media/blog monitoring. The key metrics we monitor are share and volume of conversation, sentiment tracking, blog posts and viral pass-along.
Monitoring, optimizing and reporting are key features of MECi. We focus on the key performance indicators for online media based on our clients’ specific campaign objectives.
Basic Metrics: Impressions, Clicks, Click-through-rates, Unique Reach and cost-analysis of each metric.
Rich Metrics: Unique Interaction rates, video views, custom interactions, average ad visibility time and other custom tracking.
Conversion Metrics: Client website tagging to track custom on-site events allowing ROI cost analysis and optimisation.
Social Buzz Monitoring: Customised solutions for clients to analyse the “buzz” surrounding their brand online and develop ongoing monitoring or participation strategies.

Lee-Anne Bishop + Account MangerI started in the digital space when things started picking up after the .com crash (for those who’ve been around long enough to remember!). Back then Google was number 2, there was no mobile internet and nobody had yet heard of Youtube or Facebook. Over the years I’ve worked both on the publishing and agency side of digital media in Sydney and now in my home town of Adelaide. I’m excited about how far we’ve come, but how far we’ve yet to go is mind blowing – watch out for augmented reality!
I am one of these “Digital Natives” who grew up with the internet. I still remember my class teacher standing in front of the class asking “Who in this room knows what ‘Google’ is?” Back then, nobody imagined that the job of Community Manager was ever going to exist. Well, here I am – the professional “facebook-er” in the team. My work involves social listening, content development and engaging our client’s community in the social space.
Michael Krawczyk + Digital TraderI started at MEC with a keen interest in digital in 2006 and after much pestering was finally unleashed as a fully dedicated digital dude 3 years ago. I happily claim the title of first digital person in a media agency in Adelaide… ever! Looking forward to my mobile replacing my wallet, VISA, AMEX, drivers licence, medicare card, house key, car key, remote control and kitchen sink.
Sakina Banerjee + Digital Planner BuyerThe beginning of my Digital journey started at Digital Cadet - a boot camp for all things digital. My love for media and technology landed me at MECi. After a brief stint at MECi Sydney, I now call Adelaide home. My work involves bringing online campaigns to life and ensuring they make commercial sense to the client. This means an innate love for spending hours of time on spread sheets, pivots, analytic tools and troubleshooting – never a dull moment!
Isaac O’Leary + Digital AnalystFresh out of uni I’ve been a part of MECi since May. Throughout my studies, I’ve had a high interest in digital media particularly in society’s behaviour in digital and social spaces. Over the last few years, I’ve been the social media coordinator for a nightclub, the secret face a social networking campaign and I believe that one day digital interactive screens will surpass paper. The digital world and I grew up together, so I guess I feel as though we’re old friends, becoming wiser together as the years pass by. That is not to say that we don’t have our moments, we fight like the siblings that we are! There is nothing more frustrating that an uncooperative PCT tags! Those moments aside, digital media is growing at such a rapid pace that each day brings something new and exciting to my role at MEC.
